Pallottine Youth Forum 2006
From 19-26 August 2006, the first meeting of the Pallottine Youth Forum, was held in Rome. 73 representatives of the diverse Pallottine parishes in the world (Spain, USA, Canada, Portugal, Poland, Scotland, France, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico and Italy) participated at the Forum. The biggest challenge in any such international meeting is that of communication but the “Pallottine Youth” managed to create a lively and colourful community without much difficulty. The principle languages were English and Spanish.
During the week the participants visited the most important churches in Rome, celebrated the liturgy in them and studied the history of Catholic Church in Rome. The most significant places were the Church of SS.Salvatore in Onda, Spiritual Centre of the Union and the Chapel of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, in which St. Vincent Pallotti had given for many years conferences for the priests and the students from the mission countries.
